We went looking for a bed that would actually support our dog's joints and not look like an eyesore in the living room. Everything we found did one or the other — never both. So we made our own: vet-grade foam underneath, a fabric and colour we were happy to leave out on top, and a cover we could throw in the wash on a Sunday.
